A Year in Pictures... Part 1

I take a lot of pictures, so this needs two posts. Just another fun way for me to share my year with y'all.

We rang in the new year with friends and family. It was a crazy night.


I went to see my boys play on multiple occasions. And this isn't the goofiest we got.


Hubby and I went on unplanned adventures, which is how we ended up playing in the snow in our t-shirts.

Then there were planned adventures with Tad.

Hubby turned 30 and we had a party on one of the coldest, windiest, rainiest days of the spring.


Hubby and I headed down to San Diego for our first anniversary.


My little manlet turned 5. And I made him a cake that I'm still pretty proud of.


The little manlet got to go to the zoo when we went back down to San Diego a month later...

... and he got the coolest picture with a hippo EVER!


We rescued a lot of ducks (and sadly lost a couple).


Tad counted down to Transformers 2, and we of course went to see it right away.


And sissy got engaged! So the hunt for a wedding dress began in June.

This is still a pretty brief rundown of the year, but I don't share every last detail of my life here. Like that one time that we were at a bar and...

Ahh 2009

You were a fine year. Well... an okay year I guess. We saw plenty of things happen. So let's go back and look at some of my blogs, yes?

I blogged entirely too much about American Idol. (And yes, each of those links is a different entry.)

I survived my first night with hubby working overnights. And I didn't know what to do with myself.

I got a haircut that strangely resembled a comic book character's.

I went out of town. A few times.

My nephew gave me strep and I had to get a shot in the arse.

I went on my first hunting trip.

My baby started Kindergarten!!! And I only cried a little.

I gave away my first handmade gift! And was really pleased with the results.

We had the COOLEST HANDMADE COSTUMES EVER!

There was lots of other stuff happening, but not everything makes it here. I'm rushing to complete some things and upload some pictures so I can get a couple more posts up in honor of 2009. Actually, there will be one pretty quick, the other two... well, it'll be before midnight on New Year's Eve.

Predictable...

Is it just me or does everyone get sick right after Christmas? Hubby didn't feel well on our way home last night. Feverish, achy, and losing his voice. He had been fighting something all week. So as mean as it sounds, I ended up sleeping on the couch. No sense in both of us being sick. He agreed.

So today... I feel icky. I woke up fine. But while I was at the movies with my in-laws I started to feel funky. My throat was getting scratchy. So I came home and took a nap (at almost 7 pm). Still not feeling great, but not really worse either.

If I had known I would get sick anyway I would have just slept in my own bed with hubby last night. Oh well. I'll load up on meds, oranges, and vitamin water before I go back to bed tonight.

And because I had such boring, sad news for you today, I give you a picture. It's hubby and me when we were in Tahoe for my birthday. We did a sleigh ride and it was GORGEOUS. So here we are, lake in the background and all bundled up. Stay healthy friends.

How about that? I found a minute to post! There are still piles of cookies to be frosted and presents to be wrapped, but I came across this and had to share. If you're a fan of Glee, then consider this my Christmas present to you.

I'm back! With a computer cord!!!

But I'll actually be busy a lot the next few days. So maybe you should pretend I'm not back. I'll try to get a post or two up. I have a couple vacation pictures. And tomorrow I'll have a video of my little man's FIRST Christmas program at school! I'm very excited to go see him.

Now I need to go to bed. Because we have some serious fog going here and I have to be up early to drive to Tad's school (he doesn't go to school in my city) in the delightful fog.

Just know that I'll be back to fun posting!

Ugh

Apparently my computer doesn't understand that Christmas means peace on Earth and good will towards men.

The cord is officially dead. And I said many bad words today. Hubby couldn't track down a cheap one. He couldn't fix the one I own, even with a new part (the actual plug). So he ordered one online for me.

Meaning, I won't be around for at least a week. Because it has to be shipped (and really, how long will that take?) plus I'll probably be out of town when it gets here.

So sorry for the sudden time off. I'm seriously annoyed at this. I had pictures of my wreath to share! But nooooo, my computer is a big fat JERKFACE.

So I'm off to try and get ready for my two trips coming up. And probably say words about the computer some more.
