I'm off to San Diego tomorrow. For four days. Which leaves me with something to ponder.
To blog ahead or not to blog ahead.
I have some recent addicts *cough*Heather*cough* who need their fix (haha, love you Heather!). And I was actually planning one post for my actual anniversary.
So look for a post to pop up on Sunday. If I get time tonight I'll try and write some other posts. And hopefully they'll entertain. You be the judge.
In the meantime, I'm off to bum around in a city other than mine. There shall of course be lots of pictures and hopefully some good stories to share upon my return. If you can't live without my words, I'll still be updating Twitter (over there in my sidebar, follow me!). I can do that one from my phone with ease.

Idol Results!
So all the news outlets are proclaiming that it was a "shocker!" But don't they throw that word around a lot anyway?
I didn't watch it because I got home late from church and went to my mom's. So I missed the group performance of Maniac from the movie Flashdance. [Insert heavy amount of sarcasm here] Oh darn. I so wish I could have heard that hot mess.
So the bottom three were Anoop, Lil and Matt. Anoop was sent back to the couches. Then Lil was proclaimed safe. Matt sang (albeit worse than last night) while the judges debated...
And they totally used their save on him!!!
I like Matt, and I agree that there are people he's better than. But if America doesn't like him, he'll just end up leaving next week. In fact, two people will go home next week now.
So we'll find out what's up next Tuesday. Oh, and don't let me forget to mention... it's Disco Week. Awesomely bad songs at their best.

Warning: Totally Disgusting
This has been circling various websites since yesterday, possibly the day before. And I just found a page with several videos as opposed to the one that I saw yesterday. So I'm going to give you a link. And summarize what's up in a few sentences for those of you that can't get videos at work or just don't feel like clicking.
Here's the page with videos. And a response from Domino's.
The videos are shot by an employee at Domino's Pizza (with one of the most annoying voices ever) who obviously thinks she's endearing. She shoots a fellow employee (who has the brain power of a rock) sneezing on products, shoving things up his nose and putting them on pizza/sandwiches, and wiping his butt with a dish sponge.
These are two of the STUPIDEST people I have ever seen. And I could continue but I'm sure I would offend people with my ideas of sterilization of idiots. So I'll stop here.
Oh, and I'll be super thankful I never eat at Domino's in the first place. Ick.

American Idol - Top 7
It's Tuesday night again!!! The theme tonight is songs from movies. And Quentin Tarantino is the mentor tonight. That threw me when I heard it last week. The man is a director, not a musician. And no matter how awesome his movies are, he still creeps me out a bit...
But his movies do tend to have some SWEET soundtracks.
Okay and he looks particularly freaky with the hair he's sporting right now. Yuck. Oh, and small change to the judging tonight. Only two judges are allowed to speak per contestant. That's what they get for going over last week.
Allison Iraheta - I Don't Want To Miss a Thing (Armageddon) - Love this song, love this movie, love Allison. I FIGURED OUT WHO HER VOICE REMINDS ME OF!!! Pink! Who I also love... but back to Allison. I liked her. It was a slightly softer sound, but she still got to rock the chorus. Paula called her "authentic, remarkable, talented." Simon said she's the "girls' only hope left in the competition." Woohooooo!!!! Go Allison! Simon said "they could see her all the way to the end."
Anoop Desai - Everything I Do (Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves) - I love when Anoop tries to slow it down. He's almost crushable. And he is NAILING this song. I like it. A lot. (Side note: why are Paula and Simon so weird with each other? They've got their arms around each other while he's singing.). Ha, I love the people shouting Anoop's name. Randy said he "found his zone" and was "rockin' the house." Kara said he "found his place" and said it was "probably one of his best performances." Yay!!!
Adam Lambert - Born to Be Wild (Easy Rider) - He did his own thing with it again. And pretty much killed it again. Does he ever mess up?? It was slightly punk, which I am so a fan of. And sorry mom, he totally did the phallic thing with the microphone again. I know that's not your favorite. Paula was standing and "woo"-ing when the camera went to her. She liked him and of course used a lot of words to say so. Simon thought it was "incredible" vocally. And of course he didn't like watching the performance. He compared it to Rocky Horror. To which Adam responded that he loved the movie. Can't say I'm surprised...
Matt Giraud - Have You Really Ever Loved a Woman (Don Juan de Marco) - Okay, I can get past the fact that we have two Bryan Adams songs in one night. Because I LOVE Matt. Once he got to the chorus he started sounding a bit too much like the original version. But his opening was great! I like when he does his breathy bluesy thing. Randy liked it, but thought the bridge was rough (I agree). Kara talked too much and basically said the same thing Randy did. Somebody should stand behind her and Paula with a ball gag. When they reach 100 words they get gagged. This isn't the "Paula and Kara Show." Jeez...
Danny Gokey - Endless Love (Endless Love) - I'm sorry, but this is one of the most wussified songs out there. I'm not thrilled with the choice. Was there NOTHING else he wanted to sing? At least he did a good job. And he did get better as he went. I liked it, but I was hoping to be surprised with his song choice. No surprise here. Paula started out unsure, but ended up liking it. Simon was disappointed with the harp and the traditional version.
I just informed hubby that I don't love Danny anymore. He's still good, but he's not my number one. Then hubby quipped that he looks like a chubby Robert Downey Jr. Maybe that's why I liked him so much right off the bat...
Kris Allen - Falling Slowly (Once) - I don't know this movie or this song. So I'm going totally unbiased here. Easy: I loved him. I don't want to love the pretty boy in the competition, but I loved him tonight. He sounded amazing and kept it simple. Which I kind of love sometimes. Randy said "it never quite caught on" for him. Then called it "pitchy." Um, he must have broken into Paula's stash tonight. Kara said it was "one of his best moments EVER."
Oh, and he kind of reminds me of James Franco. Maybe that's what I like about him too... me and my celeb crushes.
Lil Rounds - The Rose (no clue what movie) - I liked the start a lot. Her little "gospel interlude" wasn't bad either. But I would have liked to see her stay simple. She hasn't been able to pull off simple easily lately. But it was still a good performance. Not great. Paula talked too much and Simon rolled his eyes BIG TIME. Hubby and I laughed. Simon didn't like the song for her. And said, "You are NOT the artist I believed we met seven or eight weeks ago." Ouch.
I thought everyone did pretty well tonight. But vocally I think Lil and Matt may have been the weakest.
Ha, hubby is watching the little "review" session and made the most disgusted face at Adam. I love this man.

Oh Fairy Godmother...
If you do exist dear Fairy Godmother, I totally wouldn't mind owning any of these.

Dancing Week 6
Alrighty, this week the couples are doing the rumba or the jive. Random note... I was watching George of the Jungle yesterday and Samantha Harris was one of the girls checking out George at the fancy party. Just thought I'd throw that out there...
Ty and Chelsie - jive - Ty looks a little less stiff this week. He's actually pretty decent at the whole bouncing around thing. He totally lost his steps at one point though. But he was pretty quick about recovering so hopefully they won't be too hard on him. Judges' score: 18
Shawn and Mark - rumba - It's weird seeing Shawn be serious. She's normally so smiley and cute! But I really liked their dance. They're just cute together. Judges' score: 26
Lawrence and Edyta - jive - I don't know if it was as fun as a jive should be. It felt kind of slow and not very exciting. Not bad at all, just not terribly exciting. Judges' score: 22
Melissa and Tony - rumba - Every week I check to see if they've got a blingy tramp stamp on Melissa. This week we have one. Anyone know if she's got something there and they're just trying to hide it? Oh, and their dance was really good. I'd call it best of the night so far. Judges' score: 27
Lil Kim and Derek - jive - *yawn* OVER her. It's not even worth going into the issues I have with her. The dance was fun. I did find it more than a little ironic that she was the cop. Riiiiight... HA! Her little pasty is popping out of the top of her little outfit. That makes me laugh. What's funny is they are now keeping the camera on her face to avoid the little wardrobe issue. Judges' score: 28
Steve-O and Lacey - rumba - Steve-O doing the rumba makes me laugh. I can't picture him being romantic at all! His hands are a little stiff and flat when he extends his arms. But at least he's staying serious and not busting up laughing. And it wasn't bad. Judges' score: 16
Gilles and Cheryl - jive - He has super long legs. His kicks look pretty good. I really liked the choreography, Cheryl did a good job. The dance was fun. Judges' score: 26
Chuck and Julianne - rumba - One would hope it would be easy to find the necessary romance when you're dancing with your significant other. I liked it. It did seem like a lot of showing Julianne off, but I liked it. Judges' score: 23

Playing Catch Up
I realized a couple days ago that I didn't write my alphabet post last Monday. I guess no one noticed though, because I didn't hear anything about it. So to catch up I'll post THE ENTIRE REST OF THE ALPHABET today. Because I can. Because it's my blog. And because next week I'll be out of town and haven't decided if I'm going to write ahead and let it post for you...
So let's start!
U is for until. As in, four days until I go out of town with hubby! We're going to San Diego, which we had hoped to do last summer, but the funds didn't allow it. We're going to Sea World for sure, but the zoo is still up in the air. Bumming around San Diego sound so much better than being in town right now though. I'm very excited.
V is for vampires. Of the sparkly variety. Yes, I finally watched Twilight yesterday. And yes I sat here and (as my friend James put it) "mooned over the sparkly emo vampire." I just can't help it! Claudia, I am with you on every Twilight-related event you ever want to go to. Let's go to Canada and stalk them on set!
W is for wedding. Mine was almost a year ago now. Which is the reason behind our San Diego trip. First anniversary! It's crazy that it was already a year ago. And I wish I could do it all again. It was so much fun! Need proof? Me, sissy, and good friend Nicole singing and dancing...
X is for eXes. Yeah, it doesn't fit technically, but I'm not going to write about xylophones just because it fits. That would be ridiculous! So, I'm going to sound totally evil and mean right now, but I recently heard about an ex that caused much drama in my life. And even though it's totally immature, it was nice to hear that he got his in the end.

Y is for yolks. No, not a mispronunciation of "jokes." Egg yolks. I have some that I need to use today. So I'm thinking maybe a mousse. Or a pastry cream to go with some eclairs. Or a pastry cream for strawberry tarts. Whatever I decide, something will be made. And mom, you'll probably be getting some at home.
And Z is for Zooey Deschanel. Because I couldn't think of anything else. And she's hot. And totally a girl crush of mine. And her hair totally influenced my decision to cut mine.
