I am currently OBSESSED with this song. It's my favorite Kings of Leon song. And I'm working on getting my cousin's band to cover it at an upcoming show. Because they could totally do it.

So I'm slightly obsessed with this song. I love it. And it popped up all weekend which just made it plant itself in my head. The video isn't terribly impressive, but just start the video and then work in another tab while you listen. That's what I do.




 Back to work today. SO glad I took the extra day off after my weekend. I needed it.

Flash Mob!!!

So as a part of the nerd fest last week we had a flash mob. Not just any flash mob, one that ended in a proposal. Here's the best video I've found so far.

I went to a burlesque show Saturday (!). So much fun. Met up with a girlfriend there and the whole atmosphere had me remembering this CD. So I popped it in the car and this song came up!

Fabulous.

I kinda kept the CD in and have had a couple days of guilty pleasure music. :)

I didn't take something from my running playlist this week. I had this Kings of Leon CD in my car last week. I think for the whole week. If not it was pretty darn close. I think it's my thing at the moment. And I LOVE this one.




 It's mellow. And lovely. It kinda reminds me of my cousin's band (technically my husband's cousin, but we're close enough that he's just my cousin too).

Watching the video last night made me laugh. So naughty! But when this song came up on my run yesterday I knew it had to be the video today. I mean, how hot is Nelly Furtado? I'd kill for her stomach in this video.

Let's see if I stick with this. Because I listened to A LOT of music over break. Just because. A lot of time spent in the car. Some late nights downloading. New playlist for my running. So I'll share every week. Not that all of it will be new. I'm not claiming to be some amazing producer-in-the-works who knows what will be "hot" next.

For now, a new song. I'm addicted. I put it on Facebook last week. And added it to my phone. And my workout playlist. It's definitely going to be an obsession this summer.




Off to work. Hoping my kiddos aren't insanely tired or insanely wired. *fingers crossed*

Old School

I love having a buttload of music on my computer. I can hit a random list and see what pops up. This did last night.



What girl wasn't obsessed with this song in the 90's? I still have a massive girl crush on Gwen. And I can still sing every word to this song.

It's Thursday. And I'm half-done with conferences. And my break starts next week! We're off to cross something off my semi-forgotten 30 Before 30 list. Because let's face it, I'm not hitting all of those in less than a month. Famous for my procrastination...

Super Coolnesssss

Yeah, I've been a bit sporadic. And it's bound to get worse. Just warnin' ya. I have a mall stop and then church tonight. Haunted house tomorrow night. Range date with some ladies from school on Friday. Halloween festivities on Saturday. Shooting on Sunday. Actual Halloween on Monday.

*whew*

But in my time spent on the interwebz, I found this yesterday. Some of you are bound to have seen it already. I've watched it twice. Both times the song was stuck in my head for hours. I will probably be singing it again this morning.




I wish I had enough money and boredom and money to do something like this.

Oh Giants

So we had a GOOD baseball fight the other night.



If you follow baseball, you know that there's just no love to be found between the Giants and the Phillies. So this turned into one of the best bench-clearing brawls in recent memory. Well... at least in the past year. Because this kinda happened last year too.

What's sad (and a little funny) is this was the best part of the game that night. My cousin and I were recapping our favorite parts on Facebook (if you're good at recognizing players, just look for Sergio Romo in the video... GANGSTA!). Twitter blew up. I commented that Eli Whiteside (the catcher for the Giants) was protecting his pitcher AS HE IS SUPPOSED TO DO and got attacked. Of course the genius who attacked me was courteous enough to give my blog a few hits. Thanks for raising my stats jerk! :)

Thankfully there were no suspensions. And the Giants won yesterday. So all is right with the universe again. Feel free to watch the video more than once. Between the actual game, post game, and the coverage in days following, I've probably seen it more than ten times. :)

Sparkly Hearts Everywhere

All Star Game tonight!!!

I know I've been a bit baseball obsessive lately, but it's summer. And I was raised on baseball. Pretty sure I bleed green for my boys in Oakland. Hubby actually commented a couple weeks ago that I'm rather dude-like in my tendency to wake up and turn on MLB network in the morning.

Yes, it's been happening. I love that channel.

So I saw this commercial a couple weeks ago for the first time and I enjoy it. Especially Eckersley and his epic stache.

With hubby, Tad, and mom. Mom's more than a little stoked that Dave Stewart is supposed to be there. And I'm amused by the fact that Dave Stewart was playing when I was going to the games at Tad's age.

See what happens when I'm on vacation? I have to time to watch videos and post them! Y'all are in for it if this much good stuff comes out every Monday.

So currently the husband and I watch Game of Thrones every Sunday night. It's on HBO so it's plenty bloody and has an unnecessary amount of sex sometimes. But the story is great. The first episode made me gasp and yell at the television at the end. Last night ended with tears in my eyes and the need to throw up. I didn't throw up BTW, just poured myself another drink and ranted and raved for ten minutes.

So HBO has me. But next week is the season finale of Game of Thrones. And do you know what comes next? DO YOU???

Monday Coolness

Or, ya know, amazing epicness. So the Tony's were last night. I never watch, but NPH (Neil Patrick Harris a.k.a. Doogie Howser a.k.a. Dr. Horrible) was hosting, so I was hoping for some fun clips from last night.

Umm... I've watched this a few (okay, five) times now. Been holding onto it since last week when Brian Wilson tweeted the link.





Several things to be said here:

• OH how I wish I could take May 25th off and get one of those shirts. WANT. Very badly.
• For those of you who don't spend too much time on the internet, the kid in the video is Keenan Cahill. He has Maroteaux-Lamy syndrome (click if you want more info) and has been killing it on YouTube making videos where he's lip-synching random songs. People love him.
• Brian Wilson has crazy eyes... but he's still AWESOME.

See, this is pretty much our car (except ours isn't an STi). And we do indeed have a pretty hood scoop. Which does lead to jokes similar to above...

It also leads to Tad thinking we have the coolest car ever. What is it about boys and hood scoops?
