Just a quick note. We all know what today is. So just take a moment for yourself at some point and remember.

We should also remember to move on and not let the day overpower anything. Which is why tonight I get to watch two of my closest friends marry one another. I'm glad to have something positive to celebrate today.

I remember last year I had trouble deciding what to write on this date. So when it doubt, keep it simple.

Thanks to all those who gave their lives that day. Thanks to their families. And thoughts and prayers for those same families today. It won't ever be an easy day for any of them.

Thanks to our military serving today. Thanks to their families. People can huff and puff about military and its necessity/actions/reputation, but our soldiers are the ones who should be thanked for their ability to huff and puff so freely.

Fly your American flags high today (I wish we had one at our little apartment) and remember.
