Thankful for another fast week. Even if I spent most of it slacking off. I mean, I haven't even watched Idol yet. Both nights are sitting on my DVR. I'm just feeling lazy. That stops tonight and tomorrow. I have stuff to do. :)
I'm missing my Tad right now so that's what you get today. In a Packers jersey. Playing with the lightsaber app on my phone. Look at that face. He loves it.
Busy weekend ahead. Possibly super busy if I get paid this weekend. We'll see. Hopefully plenty of pics to share.
Happy Friday!

Me and my boy. Since next week is Thanksgiving break I do believe I'll be spending a little time with his adorable face. :)
Two conferences left today. Then DMV... ugh. But then it's vacation time!!!!
Happy Friday!

Friday Photo
I know it was only a four-day work week, but I'm wiped out. Too many emotions, too much BS, too many challenges. I need a picture of my Tad. Dying laughing. Seriously, if you could have heard how hard he was laughing, it would make your day.
Love him.
Happy Friday.

5 Things
Yeah... I've been neglecting. It happens. Movie dates, vet appointments, and the like. There's just a lot to do!
So I decided to keep it simple today and go back to my typical Tuesday post.
Let's look at 5 Things Happening This Week
So I decided to keep it simple today and go back to my typical Tuesday post.
Let's look at 5 Things Happening This Week
- Let's just get to what I'm most excited about... BASEBALL THURSDAY!!!! It's gonna be pretty awesome. Why wouldn't it be, it's BASEBALL!
- Hubby and I are going to go buy some bikes today. Not just any bikes... cruisers! I've been dying for a cruiser for a decent amount of time. I found one. For a good price. And it's yellow. Yellow!!! I can't wait. Hubby just wanted any bike because it's pretty much the only workout he's allowed to do with his back problems.
- Crafting. I'm on a jewelry kick again. I'm actually gonna head to some craft stores today to pick up some stuff. I'm finding some cute ideas online.
- Tad time!!! He's going to the game with us Thursday and I'm going to see how long I can get away with keeping him. :)
- Baking. For Sunday. Don't know what I'm going to make yet. Cupcakes for sure, but what kind...

Happy Friday
I know, I didn't post again about the game last night. But wouldn't you rather nap than blog if you didn't get home until the wee hours?
Exactly.
But I do have this for you.
Happy Friday. Fear the Beard.

Spring Break - Day 8
Ha, I did it again didn't I?
That's okay, not much happened yesterday. It was more of a relaxing day after I took Tad home. I did get some good Tad moments for you though.
We went to the grocery store for a couple things and when we were in line he spotted the man in front of us... wearing socks with flip flops. He looked up and me and said, "Tia Ashley, he's wearing socks with his flip flops" in a tone of voice that showed he was dumbfounded an adult would do that. I have taught him well. That's one faux pas my baby won't be committing.
I took him to Bath and Body Works before I took him home because it was the last day of a pretty massive sale. When we walked in he wrinkled his nose and said, "NOT the perfume store!" I laughed at him and he whispered at me, "It smells in here!" The cashier caught his looks and laughed then said, "It's okay, my little brother still acts like that and he's sixteen."
Then on the way back to his house, we were in the car and he started clapping. Out of nowhere, for no apparent reason. So I asked him why he was clapping. "Because you're cute Tia Ashley."
Best. Child. Ever.

Do you want to hear something amazing?
I am SO lazy. When I got this new computer I made darn sure it had a slot for my camera card to go directly in. Easy photo uploading!
I still hate uploading photos. I can't tell you the last time I did it. I'm so lazy that I even skipped doing it for two days prior to this. Hence a webcam photo of my Tad last time he was here.
Funny story about this kid: hubby and I were at the movies Wednesday and my phone rings. It's his mom. I ignore once (I mean, we're in a movie). She calls again. So I worry a little and step out to answer. It's Tad. Telling me that his teacher gave him some flyer for day camp or something this summer and can he go. Yes, he asked ME for permission to do a camp this summer. Hey Tad, I love you and I would happily have you live with me, but you should probably ask your mom. Not me.
I'm still giggling. I love the kid to pieces.
So it's Friday and I'm looking at a busy weekend. Busy in a good way. Oh, except for the part where I have to do progress reports. I totes forgot that until now. Dang. Guess some mimosas are in order Sunday morning...

A Story
There was a lot of talk about dumpsters when Tad was at my house just before school started. I don't know where it came from. So enjoy a super random story.
Once upon a time, there was a giant. His teeth were so big and rotten. He was bigger than a two-story house. So the giant began to die at a two-story house. And then everybody looked at his head. And then his head flipped over and then he died. He never came back to life again. And they threw him in the dumpster. The end.

A Story
Another random story by Tad. I just don't know about this kid sometimes...
Once upon a time, there was a zombie. It was just like a giant. A giant mummy zombie. So Junior ripped his head off. So then Junior threw him in the dumpster. And then Super Tad came out of the sky and killed all the mummy zombies. So Super Tad kicked the zombie's head off. And then he threw all of the zombies in the dumpster. So then there was one more zombie. And then Super Tad ended the whole story. The end.

It's Friday!!! Hallelujah! I'm ready for the week to be over. I was exhausted all week - more so than usual, but I thought nothing of it at first. Then yesterday I felt ROTTEN. Turns out my body has been fighting something off the whole week and finally got tired of fighting. But I'm good enough to finish out the week. And then sleep in tomorrow. :)
Anyway, I have a picture from last weekend when Tad was over. We went to mom's (of course).
We did some serious tomato harvesting. He loves it. Even though he doesn't like tomatoes. I just love his little hand in the bucket. And the pretty red of my mom's tomatoes! Aren't they beautiful? Hopefully the little manlet will be around next week for a night or two. I haven't talked to my sis yet.
Happy Friday everyone! And if you're a teacher like me, happy Thanksgiving break!

Monday Coolness
It's Monday. Blaaaah. But I did have a little visitor this weekend. We did fun things like go to my mom's, shop, paint a birdhouse, and play with my webcam...

There are much weirder pictures, but I didn't want to freak you out too much first thing in the morning.
Happy Monday (or as close to happy as a Monday can get).

I didn't forget today!!
Today you get an old one (about a year old) but it's an amazing one. It's the little manlet of course...
Today you get an old one (about a year old) but it's an amazing one. It's the little manlet of course...
Can't you just hear him shouting, "Let the wild rumpus start!!" He's actually howling for me because I'm howling at him.
Last fall my dear, dear friend Steven agreed to take some pictures of my little wild thing at the park. They are, quite simply, the most fantabulous pictures I have seen. I could be a bit biased, but... seriously. This is only one of my faves. I may end up with a gallery on a wall at home. They are that outstanding.
So enjoy my Tad. I will. I have one picture as my desktop at home, I may have to do the same at work. The pictures just make me smile.
Happy Friday! Have a wild rumpus!

Big Day
My baby lost his first tooth yesterday. I haven't seen a picture yet, but I should see him on Saturday (hopefully he'll be spending the night). I can't wait. I'm dying. He's going to look SO STINKING CUTE. I might just pass out from the cuteness.
So in honor of my little man, here's a story he told me. It's from July.
Monsters in the House (yes, he titled it)
There was a spider on the car. It crawled down to the window. He CRACKED the window. He came in and bit a person. The spider ran with the person to the house. All his friends ate the person. And then the house closed and opened the doors and the ghosts came in. And all the spiders crawled on the ghosts and gave the ghosts hugs. And then they switched. And a person got a jar and he put spider food in it and the spider came in and cracked the window and bit the person.
The End
I'm not sure what was up with the spiders that day. We were in the car on our way to go camping when he told me this one. I'm hoping to get some more if he stays the night this weekend. :)

Friday Photo
It's Friday! And hubby won't be working horribly late tonight! Could this get any better? Oh wait, yeah.
My little manlet is playing flag football. How cute is his seriousness? I'm contemplating going to watch him play tomorrow. But I'm going to Madera tomorrow night too. So I'm not so sure about two trips...
Anyhow, enjoy the cuteness and happy Friday!

Hey! It's a Friday Photo!!
Yup. Got one for you today. Not a new one or anything. But a good one.
Just have to brag on my boy and how adorable he is. Seriously. That face is the sweetest thing ever.
Have I mentioned he has TWO loose teeth? I can't wait for him to lose them. He'll be too cute to handle.
So happy Friday! I have big plans this weekend. Church event, wedding (including cake made by me!), and some shootin'. I might relax in there somewhere too. What are your plans?

Kids Obsess About Things
I've known that children can be obsessive about things. I've noticed that Tad picks some odd things to fixate on sometimes. But it's usually pretty amusing.
Like yesterday.
My mom bought him some 3D chalk. (Have you seen this stuff? It's actually really cool!) So of course we have to test it out. While we're out he draws what looks like a squiggly line with a circle on top. Then starts drawing something at the bottom. So I ask him what it is.
"A cow getting sucked up in a twister. Remember? Like the ride? He's saying 'Moooooooo!'"
Of course I died laughing because I totally know what he's talking about. In Orlando there was an "experience" based on the movie Twister. In line they showed movie clips and the main actors talking about tornadoes and the cow scene got shown. That cow scene apparently stuck with him. So he drew cows being sucked into tornadoes.
So what did we do? Went out and bought the movie for him last night. And watched it while we ate. I think he liked it :)

Friday Photo
I have a thing for my boy's shoes. So I couldn't miss a shot of them while we were in Florida.
I haven't played with the color or anything on this shot. I will at some point before I print it. I think this is the fourth or fifth picture of his shoes in a random setting. I love how it looks. I'm going to frame them all together to look like a series. Maybe in my hallway...
I'll be off to my classroom again today. It's coming together, FINALLY. I'm starting to feel like I might actually be ready. Which is nice.

Happy Friday friends!
You were probably expecting a Disney photo, even an old one, but no. That would have required extra work on my part. You should know by now I'm not a fan. So I give you Tad.
Hubby has the Cabela's hunting game for Wii. Tad likes it. And he's pretty decent. I think hubby is hoping it tranlates to a little hunting buddy one day.
I leave Florida tomorrow and will hopefully recuperate enough on Sunday that I'll feel like blogging on Monday. We'll see.
Have a great weekend everyone!

A Story
Courtesy of Tad. This is from last month. He was playing with his toys in the bath and told me he had a story for me... this one even has a title!
Shark Pirate
The shark pirate is meeeean and the boat was big and it sailed off. The boat sank under, close to the right island. And it floated up. And it CRASHED into the right island. The island was called Treasure Hunt. And somebody was at Treasure Hunt. His name was Shark Pirate! And he went to the right treasure and he opened it and looked at the treasure. The treasure was sea food and he put the whole thing in his mouth. He chewed it up into his mouth and then the treasure chest was empty. And the treasure chest said, "Give my my food back! Unless I will eat you up!"
The End
Can you tell we like sharks and pirates and treasure around here?
