Happy Friday

I played a little bit on FaceinHole last night and got this. It's my new wallpaper on my phone and I printed it out to put in his room. I'm dying. Enjoy.

You'll Thank Me Later

Or you won't. Because you may be so sucked in to one of the sites posted below that you have a totally non-productive day. If so, sorry.

Are you a person who pulls no punches? Enjoy Bluntcard.com. Yes, some of the cards are offensive. But then stuff like this comes up and I die.

Do you love your local dollar store? Are you crafty? Okay then, here ya go. Dollar Store Crafts is only one of the best places ever! Sure some of it is stuff you wouldn't actually make. But I am totally wanting the cake stand above. There are holiday-related projects too! I've done some of the stuff from the site already.

If this picture sickens you, don't go to Patricia Waller's site. She has some mad crochet skills. If I could make the twisted stuff she does, I'd happily put in some time learning to crochet.

Don't Judge My Hair is fabulous in it's non-fabulousness. Go and reminisce about the styles you saw (or wore) back in the day. Or just be like me and breathe a huge sigh of relief because you missed some of these.

And lastly, have you ever wanted to know what some of your favorite characters would look like if they lived in Springfield (you know, home of The Simpsons)? Springfield Punx is a cool little project where you can see the Ghostbusters, the cast of Lost, and lots more characters made over in a Simpsons version. I love it.

So there ya go. If you're easily distracted (or just bored at work), you should probably wait until you go home to check this stuff out. I guarantee you'll be distracted by at least one site.

Who Do You Want to Be?

I've been playing with this site for a looooong time. And I told my mom I would post some of these forever ago. Are you ready to quit being productive for the day?

You know when you go to amusement parks and they have the cardboard cutouts you stick your face into? That is this site. Faceinhole.com lets you upload your picture to whatever. You can even upload multiple pictures for group shots. SO MUCH FUN. So of course I have to share some of my favorites...

If ONLY this is what I looked like in a bikini. Sadly... no.

Create your own FACEinHOLE

We'll see if my sisters kill me for this one, haha.

Create your own FACEinHOLE

Because hubby and I are nerds.

Create your own FACEinHOLE

For mom. Because she still thinks I look like Britney.

And for myself. *sigh* Jealous, Claudia?

So Helpful!

Now I'll never be left wondering whether I should drink my coffee hot or cold.

Today is good for iced coffee*. This site says so.

*Non-local readers, make sure you put in your own zip code. You wouldn't want to have hot coffee on an iced coffee day!

Old School!!

There is totally a MASH game online.

Oh yeah. You know it. Choose your options for husband, car, career... all that good stuff. You know you want to play, so go do it.

BTW, the one I just played ended up like this: married to Robert Pattinson, living in a house in Vegas, I get to be an event planner, have three kids, and drive a white Corvette.

Oh yeah, that's the life.

Fun Tool

Just something fun to share with you today. Big Huge Labs has all kinds of fun stuff to do with your picture, but I am really enjoying this one. It's a Palette Generator. Upload any of your pictures and you get a palette that coordinates with it! I love it.

And since I took a couple pictures of some hydrangeas in Encinitas, I thought they would be perfect for a palette.

So it's pretty blurry since I had to do a screen shot and I suck at those. But how awesome is that??? It would be fun to pick your wedding colors in this way... that would have been sweet for me because I was the most INDECISIVE PERSON ON EARTH when it came to them.

For You to Amuse Yourself

I've been to MyHeritage many times. But for those of you who haven't been, it's a site where you upload a picture of yourself and see who you look like. The results are sometimes way off, and sometimes you don't even know who the people are, but it's fun. Try it with a few different pictures of yourself.

I decided to make a few collages to share.

Me.

Hubby.

My dad. (Hey mom, are you stoked for the Swayze pic?!)

And mom. (Did ya notice we both got Kimberly Williams?)

My bro. (HOLY SH*%, look at that, Brad Pitt. He's single ladies.)

And finally, my buddy Leon. He just might kill me if he sees this. But I have ALWAYS said he reminds me of Leonard DiCaprio. Even when we were kids. So I had to check...

So go have some fun today. Upload some pics. See if you look like who you hope you do.

Just for fun

This was something Tim found the other night. We had a good laugh while looking up our birthdays and stuff. This site will give you the number one song on the day you were born. But we went further than just our birthdays. So here's some of the things we found...

My birthday song: "Physical" by Olivia Newton John. Great. One of the worst songs of the eighties and it was number one when I was born. Tim actually got my hopes up. He read 1982 instead of 1981 and told me that my song was "Maneater." At least I could get a laugh out of that one.

Tim's birthday song: "Tragedy" by the Bee Gees. Now you could take that title and run with it, but I won't. I'll be nice to my husband. I mean come on, he got stuck with a Bee Gees song.

Day of our wedding: "Touch My Body" by Mariah Carey. Ick. I hate that song. But yes, go ahead and laugh at the title of it and that it corresponds with our wedding day. Done laughing? Let's continue then.

Day of our first date: "A Moment Like This" by Kelly Clarkson. Okay, I have to laugh at that one. It's just too cheesy and perfect for the day we met. I laughed and Tim looked ashamed to say it.

Day we actually decided to be exclusive: "Dilemma" by Nelly and Kelly Rowland. Ugh. Why did the song for that day have to be one that uses one of my most hated terms of "endearment?" That's right, it says "Boo." Stupid.

I also looked up some family members' birthdays. And there were some bad ones. I mean baaaad.

My brother's birthday: "Flashdance... What a Feeling" by Irene Cara. OMG, one of the worst songs and my poor brother got stuck with it. Why couldn't the Misfits have had a number one? Oh, right. Because then they would be popular, and we most likely wouldn't feel the same way about them.

My sis-in-law Kristen's birthday: "I Love Rock & Roll" by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. Seriously? How come I couldn't get a good song like that???

My sis-in-law Beth's birthday: "Maniac" by Michael Sembello. Haha... the title says it all. Does it not?

I won't give you all of them. You should be looking up your own important dates now. Check out the site. It's a fun way to kill some time and come up with connections that you have to reach for.

Yay!!!

I'm totally gonna date myself here, but I played Oregon Trail in elementary school. And loved it.

Well guess what people? I finally found an online version!!!

http://www.virtualapple.org/oregontraildisk.html

I'm totally third in the top ten scores. No one in my party died. Go play and enjoy feeling like a kid again.

For gits and shiggles...

You know you love the title... you'll have to thank my cousin Tony for it. Anyhow, came across this in someone's blog today and I know I've done it before, but I haven't done it since I got married or moved. Which affects some of the names. I personally believe I have the best soap opera name ever now.

1. My Gangsta Name is Ashizzle (first 3 letters of your name, plus izzle)... I guess I just have the right name for gangsta-ness
2. My Detective Name is Yellow Snake(favorite color and animal)... kinda boring, I know
3. My Soap Opera Name is Elizabeth Valentine (Middle name and current street)... she sounds like someone who's been married at least five times, no kids, and totally goes for younger men
4. My Star Wars name is Briassey (first 3 of last name, first 2 of first name, last 3 of mom's maiden name)... haha, my name has "ass" in it
5. My Superhero Name: Black Malibu (2nd favorite color and favorite drink)... so you could argue this one because I don't drink Malibu straight, but whatev

So if you've never done this one, do it. It's just for fun.
