So seriously, this kid makes me laugh. We baked when he and Taytem were here on Tuesday. He wore his apron (thanks mom!) and we had the following conversation.
Tad: Tia Ashley, why do aprons have pockets?
Me: Well, for you to put things in there. I only use my pocket for my phone.
Tad: I know! It's so that when food falls, it falls in the pockets, and you can EAT it!
We also told him that we're going to move into a house. About an hour later, he asked for a dog. That took longer than I expected. Hubby and I just laughed. And said maybe.
Because I'll gladly try and talk hubby into getting a little yorkie for Tad and I.

That's Tad
Last night we took Tad to dinner (he asked for Red Robin) and then went to meet a friend of mine at Starbucks. Here's our little conversation...
Me: Okay, Tad. We're going to Starbucks before we go home.
Tad: Why?
Me: We're going to meet my friend, Steven, over there. He has something for me.
Tad: Ooohh. Not Steven the cat, huh?
*Steven the cat is my mother-in-law's cat
Me: (laughing at this point) No, not Steven the cat. Steven my friend.
Tad: (very seriously) Yeah, because cats can't drive, huh?
Seriously, this kid cracks me up. I love it.

So there's this new show...
And it's called "Whale Wars." Tim and I have a huge issue with this show. The premise is this group of people who are interfering with Japanese whaling ships. The Japanese are apparently doing this illegally. And this group is pissed. So they do things like throw gas bombs onto the whaling ships, try to jam the propellers on the ships, or even board the ships to try and force no action.
They are eco-terrorists. Plain and simple. And jerks.
So we were discussing how Animal Planet will give anyone a show now. Maybe we should get a show. But then I realized I don't think animals are people. And that's a problem if you're going to be on Animal Planet. And Tim said, "I have an idea. In light of recent political events... Whalin' With Palin."
He's rather proud of himself. And if anyone steals our idea, we have an uncle who is a feared lawyer. So think twice.

Ew.
So I'm on allrecipes.com tonight looking for recipes (duh) and came across a recipe for "slow cooker squirrel and liver." Tim's in the kitchen so I tell him...
"Dude. There's a recipe for squirrel on here. WTF?"
"I've told you before honey. There are people who eat squirrel."
"Then they shouldn't be allowed to have internet."

Yes, I actually said this
Tim just killed a spider. It was up on the wall behind the TV so he had to stretch to do it. Thing was so big it didn't just get squished, it exploded.
Me: Ewwww there's spider guts all over my wall!
Tim made a weak attempt to wipe them, there's still a huge spot of his guts.
Me: You didn't even clean it! There are guts on my wall. And now there's poop. Because poop is in their guts and you know he hasn't pooped after his dinner yet.
Tim: I don't think spiders poop dear.
Me: Yes they do. Everything poops. Except for girls.
Because I still maintain that girls do not poop.
